Your Appointment Flow
We know this is a new and sometimes overwhelming experience, and we want to make sure you feel supported every step of the way. Here’s what to expect at your first appointment:
Upon arrival you’ll be asked to show us your insurance cards and confirm a few details. Once checked you and your support team can take a seat in the lobby. We aim to make each patient’s appointment as comprehensive and personalized as possible, so it’s common for our providers to spend extra time with each individual. This occasionally leads to longer wait times. We’ll do our best to check in with you periodically, so you know where you are in the schedule. During your wait, feel free to help yourself to coffee, tea, hot chocolate and anything else in the waiting area. There is also a café upstairs with a fireplace and beautiful views of Arrowhead Mountain. Bringing a book or something you enjoy could help pass the time comfortably, and if there’s anything we can do to help make your wait more pleasant, please let us know.
Once you’re taken back, a nurse will start with your health history and will look at all of your medication bottles that you brought in. The nursing assessment can take up to 45 minutes. You’ll then meet with your care team to go over next steps. Please plan on being in the clinic for 2-3 hours.
